B Checking EtherX versions
You must have a sufficiently recent Ethernet driver to use ARM-sidenetworking simultaneously with PC-side networking. A suitable driver isin ROM on your card is the simplest solution, but it is possible to'soft-load' a more up-to-date driver if required. Suitable drivers forall common cards are supplied with Network Links. This chapter lists the requirements and constraints for using an olderdriver which supports the DCI2 protocol. Compare the version of theEtherX module you have in ROM and networking requirementsto determine whether you need to soft-load EtherX:
- B.1 - ANT cards
- B.2 - i-Cubed(i3)cards
- B.3 - RiscDevelopments/Beebug
- B.4 - Any othercard
- B.5 - Using DCI2Drivers
- B.6 - Soft-loadingEthernet drivers
