6 Using multiple Ethernet driver units

6.3 Setting up the !PC application to use the correct interfaceunit

When using multiple/virtual interfaces it is essentialthat you also select the correct interface in the PC Card's software.Unless you do this the secondary interface will not be used and you willhave achieved nothing.

To do this, any existing ARM-side (that is, RISC OS) networkingsoftware should be left alone, and will continue to use unit 0. ThePCNE2 module can be told to use the secondary unit with the -doption; you will need to make the change in the!PC.!NetRun file. For example, use:

RMEnsure PCNE2 1.83	RMLoad <Diva$Dir>.PCNE2 -deb1
for an ANT card using the EtherB driver unit 1 (eb1).Similarly, to select the second unit of a virtual-equipped i-Cubed carduse:

RMEnsure PCNE2 1.83	RMLoad <Diva$Dir>.PCNE2 -deh1
for an i-Cubed card using the EtherH driver unit 1(eh1).
