3.3 Windows 95

ARM-side:


You will need to specify ISO packets in the !PC.!NetRunfile, for example:

  RMEnsure PCNE2 1.83  RMLoad <Obey$Dir>.PCNE2 -pISO 

PC-side:


  1. Start Windows, with your Windows 95 installation disks or CD-ROM tohand.

  2. Open the Control Panel by clicking the Startbutton, then choosing Settings and ControlPanel.

  3. Double click on Network. This provides the dialogthat controls the network settings. You may already have some componentsinstalled.

  4. Click Add to add the new component. The followingdialogue will be displayed:

    The required component to be compatible with Network Linksis:

    Adapter: NE2000 Compatible 
  5. Click Adapter, then Add. TheSelect Network adapters dialogue will be displayed:

  6. Select Novell/Anthem from the manufacturer list,then NE2000 Compatible from the NetworkAdapters list. Click OK.

    Windows will automatically load the drivers from the requireddiscs.

  7. You will be returned to the Network control panel, which will nowlist NE2000 compatible:

    • There may be additional options listed which have been installedalong with the NE2000 Compatible driver. Ignore these options.

  8. Select NE2000 Compatible, click theProperties button and choose theResources tab:

  9. Select Interrupt 5 (or your required interrupt: seesection A.1, Interrupt numberoptions) and I/O address range340-35F.

  10. When this is set up, click OK. When Windows is nextrestarted you should have a working network.
