Here is a serie of pending patches synchronised with the current CVS HEAD.

Some of them are small cleanups and can be ignored without problems
but others are real compile or functional fixes and I would prefer
they are applied before any global cleanup/code reformating or
a great renaming occurs.
Also, this is maybe a good start point to see how we can organise the work.
